On February 23, 2003 I lost my biggest fan, my mother Marion Amici to Pancreatic cancer. From diagnosis to death was a scant 13 months with no surgery or chemotherapy. On August 23, 2013 I was diagnosed with stage 3 Pancreatic and Liver cancer. I had 2 TIA strokes in 2 days and my family rushed me to the finest hospital in the area, The Lankenau Hospital. Upon meeting my cancer dietitian Dr. Randi Shayne of BeatCancer.org and within two days of my release from Lankenau, she began informing me how to eat to be able to function with this style of stomach legion. I opted out of the Whipple procedure which is the surgery performed on this cancer as well as chemotherapy and strictly followed Dr. Shayne’s recommendations. August 23, 2023 marks the 10th year since diagnosis. Sadly, on St. Patty’s Day 2021, I experienced a pain attack that landed me back in the Lankenau Hospital’s Emergency Room and after a Cat Scan I was informed my cancer had progressed to Stage 4 metastasizing. Main Line Hospice has been presiding over this decline I’ve been experiencing and has been as angelic as any organization I’ve yet to encounter. I wrote F Cancer in 2022 and as everything has been falling into place for KasioJones, the time has arrived to present this to the world in hope of it becoming the fight song for all affected by any strain of cancer. Chase and I both thank you for taking the time to listen and spreading the word about this journey I am on to help others afflicted.
Thank you Artie💜
